Meet the Beauty Is Skin Deep Summer Camp Team!

 Kara Warner is a dynamic leader, speaker, and entrepreneur with a passion for empowering individuals through strategic leadership and professional development. With over 25 years of experience in program management, and workforce development, she excels in creating opportunities for growth, mentorship, and career advancement. As an independent contractor in workforce and career development, she focuses on fostering talent, bridging network disparities, and helping individuals find purpose-driven success. In addition to her leadership roles, Kara is a published author and keynote speaker, facilitating workshops on transgenerational trauma, intergenerational impact, and leadership growth. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to resilience, empowerment, and building inclusive pathways to success. 

 Inaya Henley is a second-year student at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. After volunteering for Beauty Is Skin Deep last summer, Inaya  is thrilled to return as a Program Coordinator & Facilitator! Inaya looks forward to seeing how our youth grow and express themselves, both verbally and through writing. As a psychology major, she is fascinated by how the mind shapes behavior, and this program allows her firsthand experience in helping young people develop positive self-perceptions. Iyana said, "I can’t wait to be part of this journey again and hope to see you all this summer"!

  Jaidyn Bogard is a junior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Ethnic Studies. She serves as the secretary for the university’s National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) chapter and is an active member of Afrikan’s People Union (APU), Future Teachers of Color (FTOC), and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. As a passionate and dedicated educator, Jaidyn is committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for young students. She prioritizes teaching methods that honor cultural diversity, ensuring that every student feels valued and included in the classroom—an approach she also seeks to bring to Beauty Is Skin Deep. Additionally, she strives to cultivate meaningful connections with students and their families, fostering a supportive and enriching educational experience. Jaidyn is eager to contribute her skills and dedication to the mission of Beauty Is Skin Deep.
