THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

 The Beauty Is Skin Deep Summer Camp runs July 7th–11th, 9 AM–2 PM, at the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center. In partnership with the Nebraska Writers Collective, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering voices through creative writing and spoken word, this camp fosters confidence, self-expression, and personal growth. 

This year at BISD Summer Camp, we will encourage creativity and self-expression through the literary arts. Your child will have the opportunity to discover self-expression through writing and performative art forms. 

We believe in the importance of teamwork and cooperation. That's why we offer various team-building activities that encourage youth to work together towards a common goal. Your child will learn valuable skills such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving.

The Beauty Is Skin Deep Summer Camp offers educational programming focused on building self-confidence, leadership skills, and emotional well-being. Through workshops, creative writing, and team-building activities, campers will explore self-expression, develop their voices, and learn the importance of inner strength and positive self-image.

We know how important it is to provide kids with healthy and nutritious meals. That's why we encourage parents to pack a variety of healthy lunches and snacks that are both delicious and nutritious. Please let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions or allergies.

Our staff is made up of experienced and caring individuals who are dedicated to providing the best possible experience for your child. We prioritize safety and ensure that all staff members are trained in first aid and CPR.
